Kyle and I are officially on summer break. We don’t go back until Aug. 19. But our first few days have not been happy ones. Marc’s mom has terminal cancer and we have been making preparations on getting at least Marc and Kyle to Holland to see mom which could be the last time. We are not sure how long she has. I may not be going for we don’t know what to do with Bart and too expensive for a dog hotel or leave him with someone who works all day. Thursday we make a fast trip to St. Louis to get emergency passports for Kyle and Marc so they can go asap. Honestly, I don’t want to go and its hard for Marc to understand that but its too expensive for me to get my passport renewed when this is costing already too much.

6 days and counting until the end of 2008-2009 school year. I so need a break and am looking forward to having about 2 1/2 months off for the summer. Not sure what is all planned even though we know it will be close to home. A new swimming pool is in the horizon for our summer fun. I have planted 3 tomato plants (all blooming already), 3 burpless cucumbers and 1 green pepper. We have a family of bunnies in our yard early this spring and think the baby bunnies enjoyed the pepper plant. It is trying to survive. Can’t wait for fresh veggies again.

Today was an unusual day. They had a code red at school and locked everything down, right during lunch. We were locked down for about an hour and had only gotten through kindergarden and 1st graders with lunch. By the time it was over, being an hour late with lunch, we still had 2nd-5th grades to get through. We were out of there by 2. So a little extra overtime. Not sure of all the details but most likely it will be on the news tonight. Kyle said they didn’t have any lock down at his school. Will update when I hear more.

As you can see, my website is down due to my last host pulling the plug without any notice. I have had to find a new host and have the tedious task of rebuilding my sites. So please be patient with me. Hopefully it will be up and running soon.
